Mountain Ambulance Service Commission

Meeting of Commissioners

August 3rd, 2017

6:30pm Mountain Ambulance Station

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by Chairman Booth.

Commission Members Present:
Riverview: Dick Booth, Judy Wanner
Mountain: Jerry Herman, Jerry Hull
Doty: Bob Gaie, Ruth Dehne
MAS: Mike Pichotta
Absent: None
A quorum was present.

Administrators Present: MAS Administrator Chris Schultz

Citizens Present: None

Minutes of the May 18, 2017 Commission Meeting: Motion by Judy Wanner, second by Ruth Dehne to
approve the minutes as presented. Motion carried.

Meeting Posting: Chris Schultz verified the minutes had been sent to the three towns for posting.

Unfinished Business:

Open Bids for Building Addition: A total of 5 bids were received. Three for the complete project and one each for drywall and the sprinkler system.

Complete project bids were: Beaber Construction - $93,978.10, Reese Group - $89,550.00, All-Timate Construction - $91,840.00

All bids were above what FOMAS had budgeted for the project. Motion by Jerry Herman, seconded by Judy Wanner to not accept any of the bids. Motion carried.

Chris will explore other options.

Review Intergovernmental Agreement: Mountain and Doty reviewed the agreement at their last Town Board meeting and did not think any changes were needed. Riverview will review it at their August meeting.

New Business:

Preliminary Budget: Chris presented a preliminary proposed budget for 2018. It shows a substantial increase over 2017.  Final figures will be presented to the Commission at the September 28th meeting.

Adjournment: With no additional business to come before the Commission, Chairman Booth adjourned the meeting at 7:15 pm.
